What does a PomPom private chef service include?

  • Plenty of pre-event correspondence to perfect your event

I will prepare, cook, finish and serve all dishes throughout the entirety of your event, freeing you to enjoy the occasion and your guests company, stress-free. For larger groups, an extra serving staff will be required to ensure that your special event runs smoothly - this will be included in your final price. Your kitchen will be left cleared, neat and tidy upon leaving. I will need around 90 minutes to set up and 90 minutes to clear, this time is included in the overall price. PomPom is more than just exquisite food, it is focused on the entire dining experience which means I like to pay particular attention to table dressing and arranging; after all, you first eat with your eyes. When serving the dishes, I introduce them, one at a time, explaining the details of what you about to eat, where the ingredients have been sourced from and perhaps how they were cooked. 

How many guests do you cater for?

Whether you are after a luxury, romantic meal for you and your partner in your own home or a party with friends and family, PomPom offers a wide range of different dining experiences according to many how many guests there are. I cook for a minimum number of two guests and can accommodate up to twenty.

How do you curate a menu?

The menu is always customised to suit your preferences – the number of guests, the occasion, the kitchen facilities in the venue and your food requirements, using the finest ingredients. I work with local suppliers where possible and cook with the four seasons in mind.

What if I have a dietary requirement?

I am happy to adapt if needed and can cater for vegetarian, vegan, paleo, dairy free etc. – we can discuss this in our initial contact. If you have an allergy then unfortunately I cannot guarantee that food will not come into contact with nuts and other allergens. Please get in contact if you would like more information. 

What happens after I get in contact with you?

To meet your expectations, we will have plenty of pre-event correspondence to discuss the menu, the event and any other questions you may have. If it’s possible, I like to meet where your event will take place - this gives me the opportunity to check the kitchen facilities and tailor the menu based on what’s available onsite. If this is not possible, we can arrange a call or email contact if you would prefer. In our contact prior to the event we will discuss your preferences in detail in order to help me tailor a menu which is unique and perfect for you. 

Do you provide cutlery, crockery & glassware?

Serving equipment is not provided in the service. If you don’t have enough for your event or prefer to hire, this can offered this as a separate item at an additional cost. 

Are drinks provided?

Unfortunately I do not have an alcohol licence, however I am happy to suggest aperitifs, wines and digestifs to match your menu. 

What is included in the price?

Included in the price is your own bespoke menu, prior correspondence, travel costs, ingredients, final dishes, table dressing, service and staff. An evening event will typically last around six hours, including the time to set up and clear down. The price includes all the preparation, sourcing and cooking time.

What if I need to cancel?

Unavoidable things often happen. 

In order to confirm your booking, I require a 50% deposit upon agreeing on a service. You will be refunded 25% of the deposit if you cancel more than 30 days prior to your service. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel up to 15 days before the service. The full booking amount will be charged if you cancel from 14 days before and up to the day of the service. Any changes to the scope of the service and in turn reduction in price must be confirmed and agreed up to 14 days before the service. If changes are made after this time the original agreed cost of the service will still be charged.
